Our story started with our own transition to Veganism in 2017. With a passion for baking and frustrated by the lack of Vegan options available, we launched a mission to dedicate ourselves to baking delicious and beautiful Vegan cakes and making the world a better place, one Vegan cake at a time
For the Love of Cake was launched in 2019, opening our home bakery studio in Stanground, Peterborough. Creating artisan Vegan bakes and bespoke design cakes to compliment your special occasion.
Baked fresh to order, with high quality ingredients, our cupcakes, cakes and bakes are Vegan without compromising on flavour, texture or design!

Hi! I’m Sarah, owner, baker and cake decorator at For the Love of Cake!
My Vegan journey started in 2017 after a series of reconstructive knee surgeries. After researching Vegan and Plant Based Diets, I transitioned to a fully Vegan diet and lifestyle and soon saw an improvement in my recovery. I always loved baking (food is my love language!) and was really missing out on my sweet treats, so I began experimenting with Vegan baking. In 2019 I founded For the Love of Cake to share my passion for delicious, cruelty free cake from my home based bakery studio. Thanks to our lovely clients and supporters, For the Love of Cake grew far beyond all of my expectations and in 2022 I took the business full time, dedicating everything to continuing this wonderful journey.
I also have an amazing tribe of friends and family who help make For the Love of Cake possible. For the Love of Cake is so much more than just one person baking; it’s a collective effort that simply wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for our amazing clients, supporters and local community.
For the Love of Cake has become synonymous with delicious, high quality, freshly baked, artisan, cruelty-free Vegan cakes and bakes and I am so grateful for the opportunity to bake for you!

Meet Rye! Our adorable, cheeky, black labrador! He is very friendly, and you may hear him saying “hello” when you knock the door, (he will be desperate to meet you and present you his favourite toy!), but not to worry, he is always secured during collection appointments.
